Highbury Rise is a small friendly home offering specialist care for people living with dementia. It is located on Highbury Road, a short walk away from Hitchin town centre.

There is a varied program of events going on, organised by our engagement co-ordinator, Kirsty, ask for a copy of the ‘Highbury Rise and Shine’ newsletter when you visit. Fresh, home cooked meals are prepared daily using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. with a menu designed by residents and regularly updated to ensure all tastes and dietary requirements are catered for.

We like to make sure residents feel at home so encourage them to bring furniture and personal belongings with them, when they move in.

There are a number of communal rooms for residents to use, including 2 quiet lounges, and the more lively dining area. Residents also have easy access to the landscape designed, dementia garden at the back of the property. It is bathed in sunshine year round and is a haven for the local wildlife, including rare black squirrels.

Great emphasis is placed on a meaningful daily life so all of our staff know the residents well and will respond to their mood and requests accordingly.
