Benslow Care Homes have been operating for more than 30 years and is still run by the McQuinn family. The group operates 3 homes in Hertfordshire, 1 in Bedfordshire and 1 in Northamptonshire. There are a mix of nursing and residential beds available and all homes have particular expertise caring for people living with dementia.
The group motto is ‘Big enough to cope, small enough to care’, which reflects the ethos of working collaboratively with clients, families, staff and healthcare professionals across each individual home and across the group as a whole. The homes are able to share knowledge and experience, big ideas and new initiatives whilst also retaining a unique homely family atmosphere.
The homes are run as individual entities, responsible for their own budgets, staffing and vision. However they are part of a group, which provides support, through constructive professional feedback and operational stability.
Everything you would expect is in place from fully trained staff to nutritional meals cooked on the premises every day. It’s the little things that set this group apart. The transparency, honesty and integrity that is ever present from senior managers to apprentices. It takes a team to make a home successful and a family to bring it to life.
