Benslow is a nursing home, caring for people with a range of different nursing needs. We also offer care for people living with dementia and alzheimer disease. Located in the market town of Hitchin the home is a short walk from the town centre.

Our skilled-nursing team are registered with the Royal college of Nursing and have a specialism in caring for older people.

We provide short term and long term care and our team are experienced in palliative care.

Our skilled nursing team are supported by care professionals, administration, housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure all your needs are catered for.

Benslow is a listed, Victorian villa, with sweeping views of Hitchin town. There are number of lounges and sitting areas that have been designed to encourage residents to remain as independent as possible. The dementia friendly garden can be accessed year round allowing friends and family to visit and relax together outside.

All bedrooms have ensuite facilities, hospital grade beds and dementia friendly furniture sets. All are individually decorated, and we encourage you to bring some personal items to ensure you feel right at home.

All of our staff will get to know you well. Through life historys, observation and regular reviews we will ensure care provided is built around you.

We provide nutritionally balanced home cooked meals, with seasonal local produce. We individualise the engagement program to ensure residents hobbies and personal story are considered in the homes activity calendar.

We undertake regular clinical reviews so that we are abreast of any changes in care needs. We will engage with professionals on your behalf and will make referrals or appointments as reqiured.
